I wasn't really sure how to review my experience. Buying the vehicle was fairly quick and painless. They were pretty pushy trying to push an extended warranty that would have put my payment up about 75% higher than what we had discussed for a budget. Unfortunately, I guess I should have taken the warranty, because at 32 days out from purchase, car starts overheating and blowing cold air only........thermostat is impossible to find anywhere for the vehicle. Now I've got a giant hunk if metal that I'm paying on for the next 4 years.

I have bought 2 vehicles through their "fresh start " program, which is an absolute SCAM!! I understood and accepted that the prices and interest rates were jacked up bc of the "fresh start program."" This dealership had just about lost my business with the first vehicle we bought through them. Due to a manager who was condescending, accusatory, and must have had a hair across his ass, his whole demeanor was disgusting . I called the request a pay-off balance on this first vehicle, as it had died year 2 of our 5 year loan, and we only had about 8 months of payments left. Hairy assed manager gave me a five almost $6000 more than it remaing payments., so I asked why is it so high? His answer was if I could pay it or if he could and would reposess the vehicle and sue us. "Nothing else would change." Once I came down, I called back and luckily was connected with a different manager / supervisor, Dennis. So Dennis, the other manager/ supervisor, promised me that he'd take care of inflated and still unexplained remaining balance on our first vehicle. This way, he'd be able to get right into a vehicle ASAP. We bought a van 2013 Toyota SIENNA, with a sticker price of $18,000ish. The purchase was done via phone/ email, and they delivered the van to us. When the gentleman brought the vehicle, he huffed and sighed at me, trying to read through them, so I just rushed and signed them. We loved the van it ran good and was perfect for us with our business. BUT...... 3.5 YEARS LATER We were side swiped by a plow truck, which totaled the van. Remember, the sticker price in this van was a little over $18,000. We had made 36 payments of $525, meaning we had paid $18,900+ in payments (price of vehicle) insurance pay out to the dealership was over $11,000.00. Bringing our amount paid to 29,900.00+. BUT. .... Again, when I call to ask for the remaining balance, I am told we owed $8,900+!!!! ??? Very angry and confused, I dug out my papers, thinking maybe I had finally lost it. Then I saw it, what I didn't see on that day when the huffy-puffy man brought the van and loan documents to sign. They had added an additional $9,380 finance/ executive charge. This was on top of the overpriced principal balance and on top of an extremely high interest rate due to the "freshstartprogram." Never was this charge mentioned in any telephone conversations, emails, faxes, or carrier pigeons. I would have never agreed to paying an additional finance/executive. THIS MEANT A 2013 TOYOTA SIENNA WITH OVER 100,000 MILES HAD A STICKER PRICE OF JUST OVER $18,000 BUT..... THEY CHARGED ME $38,800+. So much for making up for the $11,000+ 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe that y'all charged me almost $30,000 for Dennis. Thanks for that. Never do business with them they lying, shystie theives.

I found a great sales consultant at Yorks Of Houlton who was very helpful when shopping for a vehicle. I found 2 vehicles that I was interested in and gave Mark my figures. He came back with the numbers that were perfect for my budget. When deciding on my trade in, unfortunately Mark had to leave that part in someone else’s hands , they came back with the trade in numbers that were extremely low, 6500 dollars less than the blue book value. The person that gave me the quote said they don’t take 2012 vehicles and just send them to auction. They had the car I really wanted but unfortunately because of this, Mark lost a sale of a 2020 Cadallic XT4. I wanted to shop local instead of going to Bangor or Portland. I’m actually sad about this for the wonderful sales Consultant. I did end up shopping local and found the same exact car at another dealership and they gave me pretty much the Kelly’s blue book value. Almost 6 times the value compared to what Yorks offered me. Thank You Mark Pritchard for being so helpful and kind. And I’m sorry I couldn’t make that deal. The 5 stars are going to you.

The absolute worst service department ever. My aunt takes both of her vehicles in to York's for service, but that will no longer happen. I took my aunt's car in for a regular oil change. During the 1st visit for the regular oil change I had also asked them to check the tires and replace 3 caps that were missing as well as asked to reset the computer. They checked the tires and put air in them, even patched a tire but never put caps on the 3 tires that were missing caps. I gave them a chance to correct their mistake by bringing it back on a 2nd visit. After 2 visits come to find out they never reset the computer in the car for the oil and never filled the fluids. I will NOT be returning a 3rd time to allow them to correct their mistake. York's just lost service to an entire family totaling 14 vehicles. VIP Tires & Soucy's now has ALL of our business.

I usually don’t go for writing reviews, but I’m making an exception because everyone at York of Houlton were super nice super friendly and they made something that looked impossible to me happen and they treated me with respect even though my credit wasn’t the best because of unseen circumstances.They reached out to me with this email and calls to me to make sure everything‘s OK and I think that’s awesome.People in the county care about each other and I am very pleased that they went beyond an extra mile and when I walked in and the sales person that I had been talking to on the phone was there and I stated my name, she acted like she knew me forever, which made me feel very comfortable.And when I sat down at her desk, she had obviously done her homework and found vehicles in my price range and had the information about gas mileage, etc. she had all that ready for these vehicles and that made me feel like I mattered. there were many perks as well because I thought I would have to go back and get the vehicle because I was unable to insure it due to my company being closed on a Saturday but no, they delivered my vehicle when they had all the information for the insurance. My vehicle had a full tank of gas and I was so surprise of their generosity, and oh yeah, the two gentlemen who brought my vehicle we’re so stinking cute.

I can’t complain to much, the service department is phenomenal. My biggest complaint is the parts department. They are the most rude and arrogant “professionals” I have ever had to deal with. They look at you like you’re stupid for asking a general question. I own both fords and a Toyota, and I have had to buy dealer OEM parts from Yorks. Now being that I’m a woman, Every time I have to deal with them I send my husband in, because every time I call or stop in to inquire about a part I need I’m meet with a condescending and generally annoyed attitude every time. Last time I was made to look stupid after asking a question to make sure a part for my truck was the correct one. If they weren’t the only local ford and Toyota dealer in Houlton I would go elsewhere. This is why my review is 2 stars.

I parked my truck in the lot at Yorks of Houlton, glanced around at the available vehicles for sale. I walked into the showroom, almost immediately the gentleman in the corner asked if I needed assistance. That started the process resulting in me purchasing my next vehicle. The salesman was helpful, asking pertinent questions to help determine just exactly what I was looking for. I test drove 2 vehicles, finding both to be pleasing. He asked more questions, searched his computer for any alternative vehicles that may interest me. I thanked him for his service, went home to give the information additional thought. I awoke the next morning and immediately sent an email to the salesman asking that he hold my chosen vehicle for purchase later in the day. Once I got back to Yorks, my salesman had everything prepared for an easy transaction resulting in me driving off in a brand-new Toyota Camry. Due to this salesman's diligence, I was comfortably knowledgeable with the various functions of this new car, the service department at Yorks and the necessary paperwork with a knowledgeable finance and insurance manager. Overall, this was a very satisfying experience.

I just traded in my 2022 Highlander Hybrid for a Grand Highlander Limited I have dealt with Yorks for years and always had a great experience. Galen Howe was my go to for years for the various mini vans created by Ford, then I switched to GMC for a few years and because I liked the reliability of Toyota, went back to Yorks, Mike Brown has been the go to guy on both of the Toyota SUV's, he has been great to deal with, I told him the color and trim I wanted, he put the order in and I waited for about a month and picked up the GH Limited Ruby Flare on the 13th of March. Love it so far, and had to call and ask Mike a couple of question regarding a couple of features, he was very helpful. Picture this you go to trade in the suv that you bought from them pick out your dream truck you bring it home have it for a month register and everything they sell your trade in then call you and say I'm sorry you can no longer buy that truck and we already sold your trade in so you have to pick another vehicle but we don't have anything else like the truck you have so your left with no other option but to pick one so you do and guess what with in 6 months the whole truck starts falling apart 🙄 thanks yorks of houlton definitely won't be back
